Hi. I recently switched from Outlook to Gmail. I get the emails from MCP each morning but I cannot view anything in it. There is an outline of a box and if I click it the webpage opens, but that doesn't help me. NOTE: there is no option to "show pictures" like there are in other emails.

All of my other emails look fine (except one from Prevention - same problem). Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks.

We were recently alerted to the fact that our Google Ad display was front and center covering the web page. Though we do encourage you to visit our advertiser sites, we did not intend for that to be in the middle of the screen like it was. Thank you Carol for taking the time to let us know. We have hopefully resolved the problem after successfully testing IE 7, Firefox 3.5, and Google Chrome browsers. Thank you for your participation on our site.

I find the best and easiest time to clean is right after you make a mess (big or small) and before you do anything else and leave it to possibly forgeting and letting things pile up. ...You dirty a dish then bring it to the sink and rinse it quick/ rinse it and load it in the dishwasher...You notice your entrance way mat looking dirtier with tracked in debris while coming in, then take a second to shake it out... Something is spilt on the floor, wipe/sweep it up quick...etc.

My 2kids (1yr & 2yrs.) have a ton of toys! which makes it easier for toys to get scatterd everywhere! I like to keep the majority of their toys put away in the basement where there still easily accessible for me. I bring up only so many toys, and after about a month (when there kinda getting bored) I will switch those toys for different ones.

It's also best to split duties among the family as much as possible and to keep things clean by maintaing it all (weekly) instead of allowing things to get really dirty before cleaning. I usually do all my major chores on a Saturday (washing bed linens, wiping everything down, vaccum/mopping the floors, etc.) Change all the garbages every 2days approx. Just stay on top of things before they topple over you is what works best for me.

Keeping cleaning supplies easy to get to for every floor of your home as well as organized and all together makes it all that much easier!

I reward myself by enjoying a clean and organized (less stressed)home.

A recipe search page has now been created. Click on "Search Recipes" in either the top or bottom navigation bars. You can search by category, alphabetically, or by keyword. There are well over 120,000 recipes and we have not had time to even look at half of them so we have included a report link on the view recipe page. If while you are browsing through the recipes and notice one that does not look right in some form or another, please click on the link to report it so we can take a look at it. We appreciate your help as this is a big task to go through all these recipes one by one.

This might be a little premature, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up on what our next project is. We are adding over 120,000 recipes to the site with new functionality that will occur in two stages. First stage we will create a search feature in which you can view and print the recipes. You should see this within the next week. The second stage will be to integrate the recipes with the cleaning plan calendar system so that you can assign a certain recipe for a certain day and it will be included in your daily or weekly plan. This stage will take a little longer as it requires different parameters than what the system can currently handle, but we'll get it there eventually. If anyone has any other ideas they would like to see in regard to adding these receipes then please respond here or contact us using our contact form. Thanks!

Please share any experiences you may have with any of the companies that appear in the ads. If there are any negative experiences then we will most likely ban them from showing on our site.

Hi
I love this site.
Thank you so much for helping me to organise my cleaning schedule.
I have tried lots of different systems and I hope I can make this work.
I have hesitated to pick a date for the once a month and once every 3 month jobs because I want to do them on the day I am working in that room. For example, if I pick the 1st of the month or the 15th of the month to clean the oven, that day may be a Thursday (say) but I work in the kitchen on a Wednesday. Would it be possible to pick either the first, second, third or fourth week in the month for one of these jobs?

I would like to hear others opinion on when the best time to clean is. Sure, not everything someone does works for others, but I have found that when I do the cleaning earlier than later it is much more rewarding. For example, if I get up at 6am and maybe do a little workout before getting the kids up and off to school. Then as soon as I get home I do one major cleaning event (ie. major means hands and knees scrubbing type cleaning). If I do this consistently then the only other things I need to do during the rest of the day is just keep the floor picked up of all the little things. Usually a quick sweep of the toys on the floor right before my husband comes home works the best.

When I do the major cleaning early my day is so much more enjoyable because I know I have already accomplished something good for the day. If I want to take a nap I can rest better. I know my husband is pleased when he comes home to a clean home.

Please let us know if you have any special tricks that you use to help keep the house clean, or what/how do you reward yourself for getting some work done?

The weekly lists all the tasks you have scheduled for the coming week and will be delivered early Monday morning (around 2AM Central Standard Time). Daily will just include the tasks for that day sent around the same time. You can update this in the Update Profile Section. Thank you!

Good afternoon! Some of you may have noticed that there have been both some major and some minor changes to the mycleaningplan.com website. The biggest being that ownership of the site has changed hands. We are committed to continuing the efforts of providing a good service to those who need it. More updates will be forthcoming, but here is what we have done so far...

We have fixed the registration problems, we think, which should make logging in easier. we have also added a forgot password feature if you need it to reset your account password.

We have added a username field if you go to the Update Profile section and select a username. What we have done is created this username field in order to protect your privacy when leaving posts on this forum. It will use your username instead of your email. You will still use your email to login on the main site, or if you want to login just to this forum then you'll use your username and password.

There was an issue with updating the frequency field and day of week fields when editing a task. We believe this has been resolved now.

As we are still working out the bugs and getting everything transferred to a new host and a new in-house programming team, we ask for your help in identifying any issues you have seen. You can post them to this forum, or use our contact us page.

Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Hi there! I'm new on the site too and I had the same question which I couldn't find an answer for. Since all I needed was an idea on how to organize my time and develop a cleaning plan all I did was replace the day on my personal agenda or even mentally. If you printed out the plan just scratch off Mon and write another day next to it. I hope that helps...

It sounds like you are VERY overwhelemed with just life in general. I have been depressed before & it is SO hard to do anything while battling depression. Can I ask why your daughter does not help you? I had a very trying time with depression & even had to go on medication for a while. If I can talk to you or help in any way just let me know. I'll be glad to chat!

I'm Ginger & I'm 29. I recently married my cutie pie husband in May 2008. I went to school full time last semester & also worked full time. Anything that got done at home DH did. This semester is part-time but starting this Sunday we will be pastoring a church 45 minutes from where we live. I want my house to be clean! So glad I found this site. I love meeting new people so message any time!

I am a working single parent and everyone in the world seems to think that once my house is clean, I'll be just fine. I am bi polar and my depression is winning this battle. I did the mania thing this morning and cleaned down to bleaching the walls, throwing away 2 big black contractor bags of garbage. My daughter who lives at home didn't lift a finger. I'm so tired, I can barely type and want to retire to my room and cry. my horoscope said that I'd go two steps forward and one step back, and that certainly looks true. Is anyone out there beat even one of these things? I feel like I'm up against insurmountable odds. I had a friend over a few weeks who asked me "how can you live like this?" I'm not suicidial, but sometimes even I wonder...

At the least try to clean up daily things that create an unpleasant odor in the home. Wash dishes and sinks and empty garbage daily. Clean up all food scraps in kitchen, wiping tables and counters.
It only takes five minutes or so to clean the toilet, wipe the sink and counter, put clothes and towels in the hamper in the bathroom. If you have pets, as I do, daily wash their dishes and sweep round the area where they eat and drink.
Clean litter boxes daily and sweep floors or mop if needed around and under boxes. Once these necessaries are completed I pick up and straighten the living room and bedroom. Throw out papers and magazines and junk mail every day. These few things will keep the house at least presentable if you have to open the door to someone unexpectedly.

I felt the same way. My son is now 22 years old and has the same bad habits as I did. I regret now that I didn't keep up with the housework and set a better example for him. There's time to keep a "good enough" house and still spend lots of time with the kids.

Go to Flylady.com and check her method out. It has helped me and a LOT of other people.

Good luck.

Hi all, am thoroughly enjoying having a planner - I get great satisfaction from ticking off a list! Have I missed a trick or is there no actual way of marking a particular segment as 'done' in the planner?
