I live out in the county and have problems with dust, cobwebs and the like. It seems that I have to dust constantly and the fight with cobwebs and spiderwebs is an ongoing battle.
Somebody once told me that a spider will not spin a web if the ceiling is blue due to it appearing as the sky to a spider. I sort of lauged it off but one day in despair I decided to experiment.
I painted the bathroom ceiling blue. To my surprise I have had no cobwebs or spiderwebs since!
I am now considering if I should try painting a blue border around each room of maybe 4 inches or so on the ceiling and wall top.
Has anyone else had any experience with spiderwebs and cobwebs?
Any information or ideas will be appreciated.
    Have a nice day,
    Frank

sounds worth a try. I like pale blue ceilings in general -- it makes the room appear higher. Many people paint the ceilings of porches blue to imitate the sky -- but maybe the original idea was to keep the spiders away?
